Been busy...

...painting. Something I have wanted to do for sometime, was to get back to painting and then actually exhibit my work. So after a really long break of doing no artwork, I've managed to finish a few canvases and am pleased to say, that you can see them from next week at Lewisham Library in south London.

No plans for an official launch as such, but will try and do something later, so stay tuned.
See Events page for further details and travel information.

BOO YAH!!

Noticed a few predictable references to Ninjas and Crouching Tigers in media today, but this was a pure ghetto, bitch slap! Wendi Murdock honorary member of the 'Hands Off My Man' crew.

African Market

Popped into this market yesterday, saw some great stuff, including lovely dresses and beautiful jewelery; children's books and scented oils.  Some great friendly customer service...some not. What's with that ladies??
The market is on every 3rd Saturday of the month, downstairs at: Open The Gate. Dalston. London.

Spotted this there, for original cards check out www.sweetdesignstudio.co.uk

New Bag Design

Created this using a design from my student days. Love how it came out, strong but fun image inspired by rock drawings found in Southern Africa.

Move over Suri Cruise!

...there's a new fashionista baby in town. Just heard on radio the Beckhams have had their fourth child 'Harper Seven' today? yesterday?
Also read that there is a 'rise in violent children lashing out at parents to get their own way.' I've noticed over the years the media interest in celebrity babies and children so is it a surprise that children and pressured parents want to emulate them?...At any cost financially and emotionally.

Feel ideas for baby/children's clothing range coming on.
The McGhee Sextuplets...awwww!

For the people who were able to find me, thank you, for those who found me and were supportive big thanks and to my wonderful friends Pat and Winston my biggest thanks for their help. I am deafer in one ear thanks to being next to a loudspeaker for the day! But not put off, just yet.

Kaftans

This image is from one my favourite websites listed on your right. It's a shape I like to use with my clothing. Simple and easy to wear for a range of occasions. Will be updating my clothing page soon.

It's a journey

Been meeting many people on similar life journeys as me. Moving on from a job/career to work for themselves. It's been a rollercoaster ride at times but worth it for the chance to make choices for myself, rather than get caught up in others agendas and insecurities. Now it's all on me, but finding out I can do much more than I even I knew. The news for businesses is not always positive at the moment, but the opportunity to try something new or pursue a dream you've had for years is there, amidst the gloom of cuts, redundancies and financial strife. Good luck to all those taking that leap.
